Why choose a MREB Member? - Mississauga Real Estate Board

    1. Mississauga Real Estate Board Members live in Mississauga, work in Mississauga and are members of a Board that deals with local issues.


    2. Mississauga Real Estate Board Members have membership in the Toronto Real Estate Board, as well. This dual membership situation gives clients the best of both worlds - resulting in more exposure in the market.


    3. MREB's Mission Statement: "Fostering Professionalism in the REALTOR® Community" ensures that clients are dealing with knowledgeable, proficient REALTORS, who specialize in the local market.


    4. Through MREB's Political Action Committee, a strong voice is heard at all 3 levels of government. Intense lobbying efforts with regard to housing issues and concerns of local homeowners are constantly being presented to the appropriate authorities.


    5. Members of the Mississauga Real Estate Board are continually giving back to the community. Such efforts include:


    • In partnership with the Mississauga News, MREB organizes the Annual Civic Reception, held in May. This popular event honours the Citizen of the Year, the Firefighter of the Year, the Police Officer of the Year. Also presented at this event is MREB's own Ronald Sanderson Award, given to a Board Member who has volunteered extensively in the community, while maintaining a successful real estate career
    • MREB's Annual Golf Tournament, held each July, supports The Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Peel. The Board also encourages Members to participate in this organization's 'In-School' mentoring programme
    • The Board is currently involved in a 3 year commitment to Interim Place, a shelter for battered women and their children. MREB is dedicated to raising $10,000.00 to sponsor a children's study lounge. Currently, children staying at Interim Place do their homework at the kitchen tables, not a situation conducive to good study habits

    6. Only MREB Members can post their daily and weekend 'Open Houses'. This popular site allows client's properties to be advertised on MREB's web site - www.mreb.ca. The public can simply highlight the areas in which they are interested and print the information. Potential purchasers can:


    • Find a map, showing the location of the property
    • View the mls data, including pictures and virtual tours
    • Gain direct access to the Listing Member's email address.
